Each yurt features a hand-crafted wooden lattice wall (khana) forming a sturdy cylindrical base, topped with a central compression ring (toono) and radiating roof poles. This clever engineering creates a self-supporting, domed structure that feels both spacious and intimate.
Our frames use a variety of wood: ash for the trellis, poplar for the roof poles, and pine for the door. A steam-bent crown completes the design with strength and grace.
Our yurts are clad in a high-performance 12oz Regentex canvas — a fire-, water-, and rot-proof material that ensures superior weather protection and long-lasting durability. Beneath the outer cover, natural felt layers can be added to provide exceptional thermal insulation, keeping the space warm in winter and cool in summer.
Our zip-in groundsheet securely attaches to the yurt walls, creating a tight, reliable seal that keeps water, insects, and debrisoutside where they belong. Both the groundsheet and crown capare crafted from heavy-duty PVC, a fully waterproof and highly durable material designed to withstand years of use in all weather conditions. This combination ensures your yurt stays clean, dry, and comfortable — whatever the elements bring.
If you’re planning to install a wood-burner or stove you’ll need a flue-plate. We can reinforce the canvas and install the flue-plate once you decide the location. £350
Extend your yurting season by adding a layer of insulation. Made from 20mm thick 100% natural felted-wool stitched on to a canvas backing. This layer also filters light and sound adding to the tranquility of your yurt. Only the white canvas backing is visible from inside making for a bright space.
